One of our favorite parts about living so close to the beach is the number of family-friendly events that are held on our local beaches throughout the summer. From Movies on the Beach to Beach Family Olympics, the Town of Ocean City does a terrific job of keeping our locals and visitors entertained all summer long. This weekend, beachgoers will enjoy the Ocean City Beach Patrol Crew Competitions. The family-friendly event is the perfect opportunity to head to the beach with your friends and family to watch as our local lifeguards compete against one another in events while demonstrating their skills. We are fortunate enough to have such a talented group of individuals guarding our beaches each summer – show them support by cheering them on during the Crew Comps! Summertime and the living’s easy here in Ocean City…especially now that our West OC location includes rooftop happy hours and dining! Now that the 4th of July has come and gone, summer is well underway. 4th of July is the quintessential summer holiday, especially when you live in a resort town that offers fireworks right over the beautiful beach, boardwalk and bay. We love 4th of July for so many reasons here at Tugos, most notably because the patriotic holiday gives us a reason to celebrate in our finest red, white and blue. Sunday marks the first day of summer, but here in Ocean City it’s been feeling like summer for the past few weeks with large crowds, hot (really hot) temperatures, and the return of some of our favorite summertime events. Last weekend, the beaches and boardwalk were overflowing with people eager to get a glimpse of the OC Air Show. Next week, Maryland Firefighters will roll into town for the Maryland State Firemen’s Association Convention. And in just two short weeks, we will all collectively join in the Fourth of July celebrations! Phew that’s a lot happening in and around Ocean City. This weekend, families will gather at the beaches downtown (Dorchester Street) for the annual Beach 5 Sand Soccer Tournament!
