Seagull Century returns to the Eastern Shore this Saturday, September 27, bringing upwards of 6,000 cyclists and their families to our area for the 26th anniversary of the Delmarva event. If you haven’t heard of Seagull Century before, it’s a major staple on the Eastern Shore with thousands of bikers training for weeks ahead of time for the epic race. Riders have two options, either the 100-mile or the 62-mile route, each of which leads them across Delmarva and through our area towns and countryside. We don’t know about you guys but cycling that far just makes us want to dig into a piece of pizza, house a sub, or at the very least, enjoy an appetizer or two while sipping a frosty beverage. It’s Tuesday, which is arguably one of the least notable days of the week…until you realize that it’s Pint Night at Pizza Tugos!! Every Tuesday our bartenders gear up for Pint Night pours, showcasing a different craft beer each week. What’s more, the featured beer is available for just $7 a pint, with $4.99 for refills AND you keep the pint glass. He’s baaaaack! That’s right; the Randall is taking over tonight and every other Wednesday night in the Tap Room at Pizza Tugos in West Ocean City. So what is a Randall you ask? Scientifically speaking, it’s an “organoleptic hop transducer module” designed by the masterminds at Dogfish Head. For the rest of us regular, beer drinking folk, it’s a double chamber filter that essentially connects the beer of your choice with flavor-enhancing ingredients. Fruit, spices, herbs…you name it and Randall will infuse your brew with the natural flavors of your liking.
