If you’ve never been in Ocean City for the St. Paddy’s Day festivities, then you are certainly missing out. We’re going to look past the rainy forecast for Saturday and hope that the show will go on. The parade marches from 58th Street south to 45th Street and starts at 11am. After the parade, we suggest bringing the whole family in to Pizza Tugos to refuel on pizza, subs, appetizers, pasta and more. Fall in Love with Pizza this Valentine’s Day
Did you know that Valentine’s Day ‘conversation hearts’ have a shelf life of five years?? Certainly makes them less appetizing…. Or how about the fact that there have been eight St. Valentine’s throughout history, three of whom had special feast days in their honor… During the 1700s in England, on the eve of St. Valentine’s Day, girls would pin four bay leaves to their pillows and eat a hard-boiled egg, including the shell, for luck in love… They say love is a universal language, but did you know that pizza (invented in Naples in the 1860s) is one of the few words that is universally understood?? Ok, so what do all of these random Valentine’s Day/food/pizza facts have in common, and more importantly, why are we talking about them? Well, for starters, Saturday is Valentine’s Day. Second, most of you are probably scrambling to make some sort of last minute plans. And third, who doesn’t … Continue reading
Celebrate Super Bowl XLIX with us at Pizza Tugos!
Whether you’re a Seattle Seahawks fan or a New England Patriots fan (or rooting against one of the two teams solely because they foiled your own team’s chances of making it to the Super Bowl), Pizza Tugos is the place to be this Sunday, February 1, for Super Bowl XLIX. We’ve been offering All You Can Eat pizza and wings for $9.99 all season long during the NFL games, but Sunday marks the last day for our infamous AUCE football special….until next season that is. Wing options include hot, mild, BBQ, extra hot, Old Bay, chipotle hot, garlic parmesan, sweet Thai chili, and sweet teriyaki. But save room for the pizza too! The game starts at 6:30pm, so we suggest arriving early to nab the perfect spot. Our flat screen HDTVs will ALL be turned on to the game, with the sound turned on as well. Not in the mood for AUCE pizza and wings? … Continue reading
Join Pizza Tugos on the Road to the Super Bowl!
Last weekend marked some major shakeups in the NFL Divisional Playoff games. For our local Ravens fans, the loss was a major blow to hopes at another Super Bowl run, but despite narrowly losing out to the New England Patriots, the game was still a good one, with some serious nail biting moments. Panthers fell, as did Peyton Manning and the Broncos and Tony Romo and his Cowboys. Coming out on top were the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, and the Indianapolis Colts. While none of our local teams are in the mix, we are still excited to revel in all the NFL Playoff action this weekend at Tugos! We’ll start with the libations. Beer and football pretty much go hand and hand, and with our seemingly endless options for craft beers, you can bet you’ll find one that speaks to your taste buds. Now, on to the food…giving beer a run … Continue reading
