Happy Halloween from the Pizza Tugos crew! Halloween just so happens to be one of our favorite holidays. From the over-abundance of candy to the horror movies on television to the creative costumes we see floating in and out of the bar and restaurant, we love every creepy, creative second of Halloween. Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, with the majority of local trick-or-treat times falling between 5pm and 8pm, which just so happens to be prime dinner time. If you think you are going to wrangle up the kids and cook dinner before they gorge themselves on candy…think again. Which makes it the perfect night for pickup or delivery from Tugos! October means an abundance of fall fun is in store for us, including football, the return of some of our favorite fall beers, and plenty of festivals for our patrons to partake in before joining us at Pizza Tugos. Currently on our radar are Oktoberfest-inspired events, including two that are just a short drive from Tugos – Berlin’s Octoberfest celebration and Ocean City’s O.C.toberfest. In Ocean City, O.C.toberfest spans several weekends, and includes a Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade this Saturday, followed by the Drive in Disguise Halloween Parade next Saturday. Any day this weekend or next, head to the beach at North Division Street to explore the Beach Maze.  In Berlin, Octoberfest celebrations are scheduled for this Saturday (Oct. 17) from noon until 6pm with fun for the entire family. The jury is still out regarding the path of Hurricane Joaquin, but it’s safe to say that no matter what direction the storm ends up heading, we are in for a lot of rain here in Ocean City. This isn’t welcome news for the area events and festivals scheduled for this weekend, including the Seagull Century and Wine on the Beach, but at Pizza Tugos, we love a good excuse to hole up and pig out on pizza, wings, and all of our favorite menu items. Hurricane party? Probably not the safest recourse, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be having one, with plenty of food, drinks, and football! Bikes, bikes, and more bikes…that’s what our weekend forecast is looking like here at Pizza Tugos in West OC! The weather forecast is looking downright perfect, which means our Tiki Bar will be open for business and our parking lot will be full of bikers in town for Delmarva Bike Week and OC Bikefest. Our neighbors at the OC House of Rock are sure to be bringing in big crowds as usual, with just as many motorcycle enthusiasts heading into Tugos to fuel up on pizza, wings, pasta, sandwiches, salads and more. Not to mention our seemingly endless craft beer menu. It’s the perfect stop off for bikers as they head across Delmarva for all of the exciting Bike Week events.
