It’s Tuesday, which is arguably one of the least notable days of the week…until you realize that it’s Pint Night at Pizza Tugos!! Every Tuesday our bartenders gear up for Pint Night pours, showcasing a different craft beer each week. What’s more, the featured beer is available for just $7 a pint, with $4.99 for refills AND you keep the pint glass. The fun starts at 6pm so we suggest getting a head start on your Pint Night adventures. This week, we’re featuring Brooklyn Sorachi Ace, which can be best described as “sunshine in a glass.” The classic saison is a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale made entirely with Sorachi Ace hops. Sorachi Ace is a particular – and rare – varietal of hops that were first developed in a Japanese brewery in 1988. In case you missed it, we’re pretty excited about football season. So much so that we dedicated the past three blog posts to reveling in all of our football glory. Well, sorry folks, but we here at Pizza Tugos love us some football – partly because we are huge fans and partly because football goes hand and hand with pizza, wings and beer. He’s baaaaack! That’s right; the Randall is taking over tonight and every other Wednesday night in the Tap Room at Pizza Tugos in West Ocean City. So what is a Randall you ask? Scientifically speaking, it’s an “organoleptic hop transducer module” designed by the masterminds at Dogfish Head. For the rest of us regular, beer drinking folk, it’s a double chamber filter that essentially connects the beer of your choice with flavor-enhancing ingredients. Fruit, spices, herbs…you name it and Randall will infuse your brew with the natural flavors of your liking. You may remember earlier this year when we combined Evolution Craft Brewing Summer Session with oranges, or when we played around with Fin City’s White Marlin Pale Ale with citra, juniper berry and grapefruit. Well folks, we may be experiencing some mild panic over the inevitable end of summer, but there is one thing that we here at Pizza Tugos absolutely love about the final months of summer – pre-season football!!
